Land, old houses, and life in East Texas

The Most Overgrown House We Have Ever Remodeled

Remodeled brick house in Hopkins County, Texas

This one goes in the books as the most overgrown house we have ever remodeled. It sits in a quiet rural setting in Hopkins County, and when we bought it you could barely see the house for the brush and trees.

Before

Inside was just as rough. Old paneling, an outdated kitchen, and rooms full of whatever had been left behind.

After

The remodel was very long and hard, but it was worth it in the end. Everything in the house is new. At about 2,750 square feet, it is a nice, large home for someone.

Remodeled sunroom with new windows and flooring

It is always rewarding to take a house that most people would drive right past and bring it back to life.
