A New Concrete Patio, Driveway Entry, and Garage Ramp

New concrete patio finished under the covered porch

This month we poured a new concrete patio and a new driveway entry. When we started, we found out the previous owner had been parking their car on the old patio. It was never built for that kind of weight, and it showed.

We formed it up, set it up right, and poured a new patio under the covered porch. We also poured a new concrete ramp up to the garage, so it is an easy roll in and out now.

Concrete is one of those jobs where the prep matters more than the pour. If a slab is going to carry a vehicle, it needs to be built for it from the start.
